Hi

I have an interesting problem with the integration between G2 and WP
Everything seems to work neat and fine, the password sync works excellent and so does the embedding of G2 pages in WP theme.
I even modified a colorpack to represent the look and feel of the WP-team I'm using.

I had some problems (like this one) starting the thing up, but after some fiddling everything seemed to work nice, until one day (today) when things started to go wrong (again)..
(without my interference, I must say - the only thing I messed with today was pointing the dns-records away and back to my site for a few hours)

The problem then:

When opening the album itself http://www.hvid.se/wpg2 there's no problems what's so ever, but when opening one of the pictures, the page goes blank.
No problems to do the same procedure in gallery stand-alone mode http://www.hvid.se/gallery2/main.php

My versions are:

Gallery 2.3 - Theme: Carbon (with modified colorpack)
WP 2.7.1 - Theme: ProPhoto2 2.0
WPG 3.0.7

Hoping for some help here..

Best regards

Patrick

The problem above is present in IE7, FF3, Safari 3 & 4 but oddly not on my iPhones Safari version.

I have no problems in my FF3 or IE7.

Have you tried the <CTRL>+<F5>? which is the force update

Thanks for your answer Teddy

Did you open one of the objects or only open the gallery-side?

I HAVE tried different computers, different readers and even from my mac.
I HAVE tried to clear all caches, all data and the ctrl F5 (on PC)

But if you can open objects from your side I'm actually happy, because it means the problem is only local on my network here..

Hi Pahvi.

Yes I did open up a photo. no probs there. That is why I suspect a Force reload would solve it. But as I can read you all ready tried that. :)

But I try one more time on hvid.se or white... ;)

Ok what I have found out is this:
when I am trying this URL: http://www.hvid.se/gallery2/main.php I have NO problem seeing the photos in 800x600.
when I am trying this URL: http://www.hvid.se/wpg2 I have problems.

I hope it can help you on your troubleshooting.

Extremely irritating problem Teddy

I had some friends trying this after your last comment, and they all had the same problem as I do (all using different ISP's).
But obviously you don't..

I'll have somebody else outside sweden try it out.

Regarding the 800*600 - versions, that have never worked in WPG for me, and I just erased all but the 640-version now - not to have the WPG confused on which version to use.
(still same problem)

Thanks anyhow for your help

Hi again Pahvi.

If you haven't solved the problem by Monday I will try at work. (I work in Bring Citymail and we route all of our data transmission through Stockholm)
Then I can tell you if I have the same problem. I know I can from Denmark. And i know how it is supposed to look like.

PM me if you find a solution before Monday. :)

Hi again!

Problem solved - by simply reinstalling Gallery and WPG
Only reinstalling WPG didn't help at all..

Thanks!

And after working a bit with the system - uploading albums and such, it all went mayhem again :(

Any ideas????

blank page is normaly a out of memory error. YOu are loading WP and G2 as well as WPG2 all at the same time. I would bump up the memory available to PHP and see if that helps.
You can also look at the servers error logs for a clue as well.
FAQ: What is the webserver error log?
also you might want to try immediate debug to see if that yeilds a clue:
FAQ: How to set/use Gallery in debug mode?

Thanks Dave!

Is it possible to "bump up the memory" via .htaccess, or do I have to something else (which might not be possible since this is a hosted site)

Dave

Thanks a LOT
This solved a problem I've spent SO many hours on!
I had to raise the memory limit from 32M to 64M, and after that everything is a treat
(I even can use Lightbox-themes in Gallery now)

Thanks again, and have a nice week everyone!
