Drupal 5.16
Gallery 2.3
http://fluxriders.net.home/gallery

Hi . I hope you can help.
I had gallery 2.3 embedded succesfully into drupal 4.7 . Obvioiusly I needed to upgrade drupal to a supported version so I upgraded to drupal 5. The embed is fine according to the settings in Drupal . The embed is fine according to gallery2 . I can navigate to gallery via the drupal , access and use admin , have succesfully rebuilt the thumnails and resizes , url rewrite is fine . The only issue it seems is in the links to all items , in that I get the placeholders for all pics , but no pics showing in drupal or gallery2 . Firebug console reports errors all to do with paths in dtree blocks items and css.
I desperately need some guidance , some plan of attack on this , so am reaching out to the community. I just dont know what to do . I need to fix this problem before I take drupal to a new server and upgrade it to drupal 6. Please help. Any assistance would be welcomed .
Thank you
kate

Di I need to supply more info perhaps , or has 2.3 support been abandoned ?
Even a url to look to put me on the right path would be good.

Well , I've got my pics back. Bit lean on the support around here hey . so , the issue is the paths settings gallery2 url rewrite. Maybe because I upgraded to 2.3 way before I took drupal to 5 , I dont know , but gallery2 2.3 has the wrong paths . I have cleared them all in gallery admin , and will try and figure the correct paths to use and turn then one by one. Maybe this occured because I moved the g2data from outside to in. , probably really . Anyhow , if you lose all your paths to pics , look to your rewrite rules.

Like talking to a wall here really......If a tree....
I wonder if its a sign of users leaving the gallery shore ...............

Actually I think it's a sign of a) not many people using this forum who know about Drupal (it is a Gallery forum after all) and b) all the Gallery developers are taking a G2 holiday to write G3.

Could be right there , but then this was a specific gallery problem and I found a swag of same issues with no reply. Funnily enough it was on the drupal side that I got a hint of where to look for the problem. But yeh , your right. Its all a mad rush to g3 . Hey , nice to hear from you .

Thanks for the tip! I am having issues trying to view my gallery2 items through my drupal gallery module. The one thing I have noticed about my standalone gallery2 is that the paths have changed for my items.

My old path only had gallery2 then the item path, my new paths, in my standalone gallery2 now have /gallery2/gallery??

I sure wish I could straighten this out. Since I can hear the crickets here in this forum I don't think I'll go through the challenge of placing a full report of my settings(unless someone asks as a result of this post)

For Now, I think I'll go back to drupal forums to look up the rewrite issues.

Time/date looks okay to me . Besides , your issue is my issue. I have my thumbs back and after turning the rules back on one by one , I lost the thumbs when I turned this one back on - d/%itemId%-%serialNumber%/%fileName% . If its got a d/ it blows the thumbs. More research I guess 'cause as you say , the the crickets are buzzing for the long forgotten 2.3 ( leaving aside that its the "current" release.)

All the posts in drupal which had pics in Gallery2 , are now broken ( and thats a lot ) so I'll potter about with this for a bit but really, I'm seriously considering acidfree now before I get another thousand images loaded into gallery2 current release which is , lets face it , broken in drupal 5 and completely berefet of even a modicum of support. Lets hope by the time gallery3 is released all the users haven't fled the sinkinjg ship. Sure , gallery checkin list is a buzzing and a humming along and the developers are flat oput there developing. No disputing that.
