This is more of a general question not related to a particular Gallery version (I am on 2.3 though).
I am about to move my installation to a new host so I've been reading the documentation. It states:

Quote:
Note that Gallery creates a .users folder in the albums directory, which can be hidden by some FTP clients. This directory is vital if you want to maintain your user database.

I use FireFTP and it is configured to show hidden files. I can not find a folder named .users anywhere on my server?!

I would really appreciate some advice. Thank you.

The documentation,I suspect, you refer to is:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery1:Migrating_Gallery correct? note the title of the document: Gallery1.

What are you trying to do?

Dave

Oh dear. You've got a point there. My apologies - I've clearly been reading too many documents. Thank you for pointing that out. I must sound like such a beginner. I just really want to make sure all my data remains intact.
