I'm really hoping someone can help me because I'm a bit frustrated at the moment. I just updated my website to the latest software...so I use Wordpress 2.7.1 and Gallery2 2.3 and Wpg2 3.0.7. When I activate the wpg2 plugin everything validates and looks fine on the admin panel side of wordpress, but when I try to view my main page, it's blank. Viewing the source code of the page shows me that it stops right after outputing the dtree.js include from wpg2. Disabling wpg2 makes it go back to normal.
I really only use wpg2 for the g2image plugin. I keep my gallery completely separate from my wordpress blog because I like to keep a different look. But I love the g2image plugin for making it easy to insert images from my gallery right into my blog posts.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem? Or can anyone recommend another wordpress plugin for gallery that will give me a nice easy way to insert images into my posts?
Please Help! Thanks so much!

FAQ: I get only a blank screen when trying to view my Gallery, what's wrong?
You are loading WP as well as G2 so more memory is required I suspect.

Okay...thanks for the response...but, why am I loading G2 when going to my wordpress site? I'm not viewing the embedded page. I really don't ever plan on viewing the embedded page. Maybe wpg2 isn't what I'm looking for, then, but I used it with older versions of these products successfully.
Or maybe I should emphasize this part of my question: Is there a way to get the benefits of g2image without all the overhead of the embedded gallery? I plan on keeping both my g2 install and my wp blog as the stand alone versions connected by links only.

One other piece of information for those kind souls who might be willing to help ...I checked my php memory using phpinfo and it's set at 40M.

because WPG2 is loaded as well.
I guess you have to make that decision yourself. I don't know what functionality you want:

See if more than 40M for memory works.
