help setting page width, and including a couple of bits??

HI all,
i am trying to intergrate gallery into our work website,
and need to set it to 950px wide - so that it fits with the site theme.

i have gone into the album, and photo tpl's and just changed the table width to 950, and this worked fine.
Problem is, when i went into the progres bar tpl and changed the width, id doesnt work.

I have tryed clearing the template cash.

What i would idealy like to do is have the main menu bar that i have on the main site
appear just above the progres bar.
( this is using a javascript include file on the rest of the site)

And, if i could php include my standard footer at the bottom of the page, that would be brilliant.

I have tryed just including these the only way i know how, and had no luck.

Any help on any of the above would be greatly apreciated.
