I have installed a brand new gallery G2.3 This surely needs to be changed. Does this need to be recorded as a bug report? If so please tell me how to do it. Gaynor |

That's not right. A default install only let's the admin have all access. Nobody else can upload images, only view images by default.
If that's not the case, then something is wrong with your install, But I've downloaded and installed Gallery 100s of times now over the years. I've only ever downloaded Gallery from this site (which links to SourceForge for the download) and I've never seen the behavior you're describing.
