Upload not posible except from url ore server

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).

Hallo.

I am new here an try to install gallery and gallery2 to my virtual server
I have root access to the server.
My Problem at both (G1 and G2) is that I am not able to upload pictures by applet
applet big and form. Only URL and "from local server" working.
I am allowed to upload up to 2M each pic. I check the chmod and chown of my tmp folder etc.

I try to upload via digikam. I can see the folder, I can see the pic but I am not able to upload.

It seams to me that I have the problem at the server site. But I can not find any info at the error.log of Apache

Some ideas?
