problems with "simple module"

Hi,
I have successfully installed and activated the "simple" module for easy foto upload.
My problem is: A user can create a new album but not upload any (also small) images.
After selecting the files an clicking "Upload Files" the following system message shows:

"Files loaded. Now you can edit the descriptions if you wish."
"No items given to edit."

I would be very happy with your help cause I love this user friendly feature.
