Embed Live Streaming Video

Check out tubec.com . It's a total load of BS, but it is sweet how they embed a bunch of different news services' live streams.

I could do this easily with a php page or whatever, but of course easy isn't the answer for most of us nerds.

How could we get the same effect in gallery2? I'd love to incorporate some news streams into my gallery. Maybe be possible to do one or two through embed video plug in (haven't tried it, can't shell to work on gallery at the moment) but I doubt that would allow playback from multiple sources at the same time.

EDIT: I moved it to the suggestions area ;)

I guess you will have to shell out $95 to find out how they did it.

lol, no way. It would be fairly easy to go to bbc.com and find the embed code and embed it in a php page. I just want gallery to do it all for me. lol

lol yea,,, BUT it will help you keep a webcam feed of the webcam pointed at your beer fridge for you...

I honestly haven't tried jack crap, just throwing this out there cause if it was easy for me to set up w/in gallery i would set it up, but i don't really have enough time to hack this code stuff out. I have a bunch of other personal projects that need to take priority over my personal gallery.

So um... cough, i think YOU should try embedding the code in a template file? lol ;)

Humf, then why should I?
I/We are not your webmaster.

Do you think we/I do?
You got excellent bit of software for free and free support but if you are not willing to help your self then I am not willing to help you.

Im here to help but The Customization and 3rd party theme support Forums is home to the most difficult questions on this site, because every person wants things slightly differently, and it's often very difficult to explain to someone how their specific idea should be coded without doing all of the grunt work.

[climbs underneath your soapbox]
Sorry, this is probably in the wrong area of the forum and should be under "feature suggestion" or something. My bad, no offense was intended, and I wasn't trying to get you to do work for me. Just something I saw at that other site that I think gallery could do. I will try the embedded video plug in in the next couple days, which would be enough for me (i don't care if all the videos play back simultaneously).

If I wanted it that bad I could probably afford $95, I just know it's a ripoff and if anyone wanted to figure out how to make a "thumbnails" type view for certain embedded items, and have them all start streaming on load, they could.

it smells funny under there... ;)

moderator, please feel free to move this thread to a feature suggestion area of the site, my mistake for posting it here.
