Hi!, I'm new in this forum. Some time ago I used G2, now I have a new project (not inmediatelly) and have found the new G3, I love it, my congratulations for all of your work. My suggestion is about download images and bulk downloads. Instead of right clic image and "Save as..." would be nice a direct icon to download the image in various resolutions. This way, I can have original files in the server and users can download only the file at the resolution they need (for email, phone or high quality press). Sometimes is better to give the user the option of download multiple photos, from an album or from a search result. Download each image, one by one, consumes more resources than the option of download all the selected pictures at one time, since they have to enter each time in each page. Oh, and if it can be in a zip file, it would be marvellous! Thanks and regards. |

Cool! I like the idea. Though I think I'd prefer a bar over the image or some cool, easy to understand icon or something cool looking to click on rather than a right-click. Don't screw with my context-menu :D It is the first thing I change in FF every time I install it, disallow scripts to modify my context menu.

In G2 zip download is only available through the cart plugin. For G3, there is no planned cart for the first release. (IIRC)

In G2 I had the great ability to add images to a cart and then download it's containment as a ZIP.
My community uses this feature as a key function, can't live without it! oh no!!! I am so much satisfied of G3 and now this...

Show stopper? For you, sure. But for the rest of the community, not even close. G2 didn't have this feature when it was first released. It takes time. This is not part of the core functionality, never will be either just as it's not part of the core of G2, it's an additional plugin.
If this doesn't work for you now, wait. Stick with G2 and wait until G3 has what you need, it will, eventually. Or code it yourself

Any update on a feature that allows multiple pictures (selectable quality) to be downloaded. I am very happy with G3 and understand everything can't be there immediately. However I also believe this is a very essential operation.
In my view Grandma likes to do 2 things with a photo gallery - Look at grand-kids pictures and then download/print the ones she likes. Downloading one-by-one can work for a while, but grandma tends to want about 40 grand-kid pictures on each visit to G3.
Please chime in if you agree or have updates on a solution...

Help us find a developer that can do this, the list of other issues is growing and there is only so much the current developers can work on.
