Thumbnails not created for pcitures with names containing non-ascii letters

Hi

I just installed Gallery3 beta 2 and uploaded som pictures with the server upload module. If a picture has a filename containing non-ascii lettres e.g the Norwegian æ,ø,å the thumbnail for that picture isn't created leaving a blank area where the thumbnail should have been. Even worse, if a sub-album has a name containing non-ascii letters no thumbnails are created for any pictures inside that album.

Is this a known bug? Is there a way to fix this issue?
Does anyone know how to regenerate thumbnails after the pictures have been uploaded?

I have the same problem when I try to use á, é, í, ó, ú. I'm from Mexico and I use frecuently these ones.

So. There's no quickfix or workaround for this problem? I really need to get this fixed. Gallery2 also had problems with non-ascii letters.

Lots of people do and there is only so much time and resources available. If you can provide either of these then they will get fixed.
