Pitty you can't see which photos visitors are seeing

Just a quick comment about auditing users in gallery 2.

I have searched high an low for a utility or module to enable me to see which photos individual users are using.
Some comments have been on the lines of ..."your server logs should show that" ... but they don't really. Not to the detail I would like anyway.
What is needed IMHO is an audit trail of some kind. This would be very useful as you would then know what bling on your site was attracting users.

fireant, there isn't anything for G2 that I've seen that does this. Yes, your server access logs are the closest you'll get at this moment unless you write your own module.

Are you looking for something to track logged in users or just guests? If just guests, you can do this with just your server's access logs or even possibly Google Analytics.

You'd just need to use a program like awstats to parse the logs and make them pretty, but again, it might not be in the format you want since those sorts of programs are for generic log analysis and not specifically looking for and compiling Gallery accesses.
