I desperately hope someone can help. I went to my gallery (was 1.5.6) and saw a malformed front page. My header, the gallery albums stats, and the page navigation bar appear, as well as the very first album, and then there's nothing. The other 2 pages load fine. I look at the page source, and it confirms that no other albums are showing up. By the counts (25 top-level albums (49 total), 1880 images on 3 pages), everything seems like it should be there.

I know that the gallery worked fine a few weeks ago. I can access the other albums by name, so I believe that the album data is safe (hopefully), but the albums.php is not rendering properly. I know that I should have upgraded to v2, but I just haven't had the cycles to do so. I tried to upgrade to v1.5.10 (after doing a backup), hoping that would help, and it hasn't. If I try to "upgrade those albums", either via the link on the new front page, or to go directly to /upgrade_album.php, it finds one album, says there are no errors, but does not continue onto other albums. Worse than that, the one album it did find, it now fails to load by name, and the directory has a bunch of zero-length photos.dat files.

I browsed the forum and did not find anything useful. I tried searching, but am not sure what exactly to search for. I used to have root access on this machine, but no longer. I'm trying to think positive that the data is still good, it's just a rendering issue, but I very much hope someone can help. Thanks so much. If this is beyond free help, I am willing to pay a modest fee for someone's time.

*crossing fingers and trying hard not to worry yet*
