G2 version: 2.2.5 (2.3)
PHP memory limit: Unkown
Trying to do an upgrade from 2.2.5 to 2.3
When arrived at step 4 after some time I get the following error message:
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.
From error log:
PHP Warning: mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Access denied for user 'makeapho_gal2'@'boscgi0302.eigbox.net' (using password: YES) in /hermes/bosweb/web043/b431/ipw.makeapho/public_html/gallery2/lib/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 366
Question:
How do I bypass / solve this problem?

Make sure you are using the right username and password for accessing the DB.
verify the User/pass with your host and confirm them in config.php

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your quick response.
I did verify the user name and password. Did not help same error.
I changed the password in config.php and the database. Did not help, same error.
Is that the database backup is going well any indication that username and password are correct?
G 2.2.5 was working fine with the same username and password.
Any other options to try?

Topic can be closed. Have decided to play it save and did a full new install.
