Login Fail , Photo Adding Fails , Solution

Hello every body,
i ran into a weird problem today. I'm running postnuke with gallery as module. ome days ago i could not load pictures up anymore getting a "call to member from a non-object in save_picture.php" (something like that but I forgott the right syntax).
Then I installed gallery totaly new but coudn't login, but showing no errors.

After nearly getting mad I had a look a the cookie Nothing!!!!`*/())/()_'**?=?
After having been mad for a while a had a second look at the cookies and what did I see?
The cookie had a /www/htdocs as cookie path. So I changed
session.cookie_path = /www/htdocs/ to
session.cookie_path =

Everything is going fine now, so be sure to have a look at your php.ini if everything seems to be configured right but It doesn't work
