Copy album module?

Im used to Picasa, so I'm wondering if there is a module to enable "virtual albums" in Gallery, or a way to copy albums to a new root album?
I'll try to explain: Let's say that you have 3 different albums on the root: "my holidays", "my dogs" and "timeline". Now, in Timeline, you have a chronological sorting of all your albums, all the events you have been taking photos of. In this folder, you would have albums like "2009.07, Holiday in Rome", "2009.06, Holiday in Barcelona", "2009.05, My dog taking a bath" and so on.
Ok, so now you want the holiday albums also to be shown in the holidays album at root, and the dog taking a bath to be shown in the "my dog" album. But then you'll have to upload the albums twice.

So: Is there someway to do a copy the albums from timeline to another root album, or make a "virtual album" so that the same files/album would show up in different root albums?
