Hello, Please correct me if I've missed something. My test environment: G3 with mod_rewrite enabled What is the reason that image URL should end with jpg? Search engine: User: In the case of Google, there is no need to have a description for each image (usually it is better to have more text on the site...). Becauce Google indexes just the startpage, albums and tags. Are this points known and will be fixed in the final release? Or is this the "new way". Greetings, [G2] http://mypics.at |

Good questions. I had some indexing problems with G2 using that structure. I'd like to see some of the SEO addressed this time around for G3. Anyone have any comments?

No, google doesn't work like that, here's an example.

Have I understood you correctly?
You mean, google has no problem with jpg extensions?
Ok, google has put a couple of jpg urls in the index, but only wikipedia or wikimedia domains in the top ...
You know, wikipedia is in another league

Not an issue at all search for:
Internet Map 10024
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=xUB&ei=zNeaSvmWNs-g8Qan_5GjBQ&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=Internet+Map+1024&spell=1
You get results that have .jpg as extension and are pages not just images.
Well they do have a LOT of useful content so it get ranked better.
