Hi Everyone, I'm new to Gallery, this community and pretty new to php/MySQL aps. I just discovered and installed Gallery a couple days ago. After getting my initial setup and being fairly happy with the results I moved onto tweaking. That's when I started to get scared. I noticed that the album directories on my webserver are all set to be indexed automatically. So if I were to browse to the folder on this site here you get a listing of every available picture. The same goes for my site. So I went into cPanel and used Index Manager to change the ALBUMS and GALLERY directories to "no index". Well that messes with the .htaccess file and then all hell broke loose. I could tell that all my pictures and albums were still there, but I was getting 404 errors when I tried to click into an album. So I changed my permissions, went into setup, and "reset" so to speak. I think everything is better now, but I would still like to have at least my ALBUMS directory set to "no index" so that you didn't just see all the available pics. That way if I do decide to "hide" any pics, I can do so without too much worry. I hope that all made sense. Thanks in advance for your help/solutions. .: Rajah :. |

Add an .htaccess file manually to your albums directory with this in it:
It's on the plan to add one automatically.
