Gallery 1.5 - albums change order on their own

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): www.designbysue.com/galler
Gallery version: 1.5

I want my albums arranged from most current to oldest. I have repeatedly arranged them this way to only open the site at a later date to see them rearranged, I think alphebitically based on album name. I now have over 30 albums and rearranging them takes a long time - to then just have them go back to the wrong order. How can I correct this so they stay in the order I put them?

Please....?

found the solution here http://gallery.menalto.com/node/34852 but now I can't reorder them at all! Any idea this might be true?

Sorry this is over my head for digging into G1. I'd probably have to spend hours trying to figure it out.

Don't know if your server can handle it, but G2 or G3 can handle custom organization with ease and it sticks unless you undo it :)
