Hide or Redirect "Register" Link to WP

Hello,

I have almost completely finished editing my WPG2 page --> http://thefluffyshrimp.com/folio

It looks just great and these scripts are so wonderful! Thank you to everyone involved in this project. :D

The very last thing I need to make it perfect is to either hide the "Register" link or redirect the link to go to the Wordpress registration page (http://thefluffyshrimp.com/wp-login.php?action=register)

(I have it set so that all users that register through Wordpress automatically become Gallery users as well, so I would like to discourage them from being able to register through Gallery.)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :)

How about just uninstalling the registration plugin in Gallery? Then create your own registration link that points to WP?

Thank you nivekiam. That hid the Register link right away. Now which file do I need to edit to add my own registration link that points to WP?

Thank you again for your help. :)

Oh, and which is the file in my theme folder (I assume) I need to edit to add a link (to register through WP) on each photo page as well?

Thank you again, nivekiam. I really appreciate all your help. I'm almost done with everything! :D

Probably theme.tpl under your templates directory

Thank you so much for your help.

I've edited the file and it worked great, but for some reason it only let me edit it once.

I put "This is a test" on the bottom of the page where I would like my text to go.

You can it see here --> http://thefluffyshrimp.com/folio

However, I've since edited the file to say "You must be logged in to post comments..."

And yet, for some reason, it won't update the text. I've even deleted the file and uploaded it again, and it still won't update the text. It still says "This is a test."

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thank you again for your help. I'm almost done! :-)

See this: http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Editing_Templates

And to get to the short of it, make sure you clear you cache after editing templates:
FAQ: How can I clear cached data?

So far so good. I got the link to appear exactly the way I wanted. Thank you so much! :-D

However, after clearing the cached data, for some reason my gallery images won't show now.

They appear in the image block, but when you click on them, you can't view the image.

Example:

1) Visit the gallery directory here --> http://thefluffyshrimp.com/folio?g2_itemId=54

2) Click on any of the thumbnails. As you can see, the images won't display. (Like so --> http://thefluffyshrimp.com/folio?g2_itemId=102 )

Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you so much again. I'm so close to being completely finished!

Something is messed up :)

Your html just stops. Take a look at your photo.tpl file that you've edited. It looks like what ever text editor you used threw up all over the place. It could be an easy fix or a tough fix it's very difficult to read that code without any proper formatting. You may have a single syntax error or dozens of them.

Hmm, that's weird. I didn't edit the photo.tpl file. It only happened after I cleared the caches. (Which I had to do through http://www.example.com/gallery/lib/support/index.php ). Any idea why that might happen?

This is the information I received when clearing the caches:

" Gallery caches data on disk to increase performance. Occasionally these caches get out of date and need to be deleted. Anything in the cache can be deleted safely! Gallery will rebuild anything it needs."

And these are the caches I cleared:

Cached HTML pages
Albums and photo data
Module settings
Theme settings
Smarty templates
Temporary directory
Downloadable Plugin Cache

If you haven't edited it, then just download the theme from here, get a fresh copy of photo.tpl and replace it.

Looks like it was opened in a text editor and the formatting got messed up or the line endings are not correct or something, then it was saved.

[Edit: Never mind. I found where to download it.]

YES! It's fixed! My gallery looks fantastic now! Thank you so much for all your help, nivekiam. You have been just great (and very patient with me, lol).

There is one last minor thing I would like to do (center the image block) --> http://gallery.menalto.com/node/91820
It's not super important, but if you have a tip for that, I'd be really appreciative.

My website is now finished! Thank you so much again, nivekiam. :-D
