"Your webserver does not support localization" error in Site Admin... but gettext is enabled!

Hey friends,

I'm almost ready to go live with my first gallery site! One thing though, when I go into the Site Admin menu I get the following error: "Your webserver does not support localization please instruct you server administrator to enable gettext."

My hosting company is Pair.com. I spoke to one of their techs who said that "gettext" is enabled in their default PHP build. I'm using a php-wrap.cgi script so that new files I create will be owned by my account and not by user: "nobody". The Pair.com tech checked that too, and said that gettext is enabled in the cgi wrap. Is there something I'm missing?

Changing languages at the bottom seems to work for me.

PHP thinks that gettext is enabled, according to your system info. I've had no problems installing and using other languages on Pair's servers. And I run all my php at pair through php-cgiwrap.

Try putting gallery into debug mode and going to the pages you see this error on. Copy that info into a text file, zip it and attach.

Hmm, can you PM me login details for you Gallery install and leave it in Debug mode?
