Since I upgraded to Snow Leopard my MacBook is telling me I have to install Rosetta to use Gallery Remote.

Will there be an update to Gallery Remote that won't require this?

I'm not sure. I'm on SL and I didn't have Rosetta installed until recently and GR didn't seem to require it. Do other Java apps behave similarly on your Mac?

That Rosetta requirement popped up a few times after the upgrade to SL but, sorry, I can't remember which apps. Usually updating to the latest version of the app worked. In this case (Gallery Remote) I just installed Rosetta and everything seems to be working fine.

There is a simple fix for that. Follow the instruction on that site. It is not for the same application but it is working fine for Gallery Remote.

Thanks, I'll update the GR build files to use this new file.

In general though, we now recommend just using Java WebStart to run GR from your Gallery (it will ask if you want to install the app when you do that).
