sort album by user choice

Hi,
i'm looking for a way to let users choose the sort order.
If a user visits the site, the default view order should be "by date"
Is it possible to show links in my navigation bar which change the sort order?
For example the visitor clicks on a link and the sort order switches to "by rating"
