Hello BEMS,

please open your own thread.

Also please enable debug mode and post the output thats created when adding the watermark.

Ah, i strongly assume you use Gallery 1.x, right?

Hello Jens!

I use Gallery 1.6.-RC3.
Trying to watermark one single picture, I can see a prefect watermark in my preview.
Adding the watermark, this is the debug-output I've received:
Debug messages:

composite: no encode delegate for this image format `/home/sites/blattmann.com/public_html/online_archiv/albums/frauen_u_18/DSC_5497.jpg.tmp'.

Status: 1 (expected 0)
util.php::181 -> Executing: '/home/sites/blattmann.com/public_html/bin/jhead' -te /home/sites/blattmann.com/public_html/online_archiv/albums/frauen_u_18/DSC_5497.jpg /home/sites/blattmann.com/public_html/online_archiv/albums/frauen_u_18/DSC_5497.jpg.tmp

Results:

none

Debug messages:

Error : No such file
in file '/home/sites/blattmann.com/public_html/online_archiv/albums/frauen_u_18/DSC_5497.jpg.tmp'

Do you need any additional information?

yay, a 1.6 tester :-)

Thanks for the output. Please go to the Configuration Wizard, Step 1.
There is a link to the diagnostic page and there a link to the ImageMagick Test.

Which Version is reported?

P.S.: You should consider Gallery 3.0 for a professional page.

This is correct ;)
This is the report I've received:

Checking: '/usr/bin/identify'
Expected status: 0, but actually received status 1.
Checking: '/usr/bin/convert'
Expected status: 0, but actually received status 1.
Checking: '/usr/bin/composite'
OK! Version: ImageMagick 6.4.3 2008-08-28 Q16

It looks like there are some components missing!? How can I fix that?

I've considered Gallery 2.0 for a professional page. But my provider's server didn't like that because of the php-processes which needed all of its resources and broke down twice... ;)
So I've "downgraded" to 1.6..

You know that Gallery 1.6 will never be released? Gallery 1.x is End-of-Life

About your ImageMagick issue ... For this you have to contact your hoster.
No idea why it does not work.

Thanks for your informations.
No, I didn't know that.
So I should make another "downgrade" to 1.5x? What do you suggest?

If I understand you right, the whole issue about watermarks has something to do with missing parts of ImageMagick?
Thanks anyway!

Well,

If you want Gallery 1.x "technology", then you could move over to Jallery :-D
But its still unstable.

I suggest to go for Gallery 3.0

Yes, your understanding is right.

Thanks for helping!
I will try Gallery3, but I assume that my provider's server will have a problem as well, as I had it with Gallery2..
Best regards from good old Switzerland
