Hope someone can help with the problems I'm having importing albums from G1.

I am now the proud owner of a working G2 install, yippee! But now stuck on the importing of albums from G1 - sometimes it works, sometimes (usually) it gets stuck. Pasted details of most recent attempt below:

The process (orange progress bar) just halts at some point & then just sits there. Top right reads: "Memory used: 16959840, total: 128M"

I click on "back to Gallery" & then redid the import, with same result. Then I received this error:

-----

An error has occurred.

My Gallery 1 install is unfortunately not accessible from the web now as I've had to rename the top level folder. I did update config.php to point to the new path but G1 remains inaccessible from the web. However, all files are there & the import process *does* run for some albums.

FAQ: I suddenly got an "ERROR_LOCK_TIMEOUT" message, what do I do?

Probably running into some limitation by your host. Maybe try changing the locking mechanism to database (it's slower though so you would probably want to change back once you get everything working)

Maybe also try importing smaller sets of your G1, like an album at a time. I haven't used the G1 importer for ages and can't remember how it functions though.
