Ok, so my question is in the FAQ. I still need help.

This is the question in the FAQ
C.2. I've installed Gallery and all seems well. But when I try to upload an image it says Unable to make thumbnail(0) or Invalid image. What gives?

I am using Gallery Remote on MacOS X when I get the error.

When I ran the check of imagemagick.php I get the errors:
"Checking /usr/local/bin/identify

Warning: exec,system,dl() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/agsayer2/public_html/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 34

Error! Expected status: 0, but actually received status .

Checking /usr/local/bin/convert

Warning: exec,system,dl() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/agsayer2/public_html/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 34

Error! Expected status: 0, but actually received status . "

I don't know what to do with this.
When I put the Gallery in debug mode -- I no more information; the error message of "Unable to make thumbnail(0)"

Here is the Gallery URL
http://www.agsayer.com/gallery/albums.php

Ok I got the "safe mode" changed by my host.

Now the error message is "Upload error: Upload failed: 'Invalid image: imagename_1.jpg'"

What should I do next?

Thank you!

I found this error in the configure wizard
"Error: use_jpegtran: /usr/local/bin/jpegtran must be a valid file (not a directory)!'

I can't find "jpegtran" to do anything with.

Help -- I know this close to being set up --but.....

jpegtran is optional. Just make it blank.

For your problems, set debug mode to yes (page two of wizard) and post full error messages when you upload a file.

Ok, I got rid of the jpegtran.

But I still get an error (yes debug mode is on) when I am using Galley Remote on MacOS 10.2.6 of
"Upload error: User cannot add to ablum"
I can log on without a problem; and can't see where there is any user settings to change.

Thank you for your help.

The other error message I am getting from Galley Remot is
"Upload error: Upload failed: 'Invalid image: imagename_1.jpg'"

Is this any clue?

agsayer, log in the web interface, upload an image, and copy/paste the whole error message you get here.

agsayer, try using the web interface, it should give you a lot more info. And, enable the debug mode.

Have a look at FAQ c.2

FAQ c.2 does not tell me where to find the web interface.
On the gallery page nothing works to help me.

Please, if you can, give me simpler instructions -- I am a newbie to this kind of thing.

well, look up your website and find the login link, login with admin and the password you specified during setup and click "add photo".

But, i just browsed your site, and it seems to be some other problems as well (might even be related). Re-run the setup wizard, and spceify http://www.agsayer.com/albums/ as the album url. It seems to be poining to the wrong place at the moment.

Ok, I played around with album url and final came out with one that doesn't error out "/home/agsayer2/public_html/albums"

Now from the gallery website when I try to log in I get the error message "Not Found The requested URL /public_html/gallery/login.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I know my to login as admin with my password --just can't seem to get there.

Thanks for your help --sorry I am a pain in the butt.

Your Gallery URL is wrong. It should be http://www.agsayer.com/gallery/

agsayer, "/home/agsayer2/public_html/albums" is NOT and URL, thats a PATH and is in fact equal to http://www.agsayer.com/albums/ - I am beginning to think that you need to get someone a little more experienced to get this installed for you. :(

When I put in the URL the configuration wizard gave me an error; when I inserted the PATH the wizard was happy.

I am sorry that I have taken your time -- I would hate to have you waste it on someone of my small amount of skills.

I have paid the $40 donation for more through help. So, if you wish to opt out now I believe bharat will answer my email and continue with helping me.

Thank you, I appreciate your time.
And again I am sorry to have bothered you.

agsayer, i am sorry! I did not mean that you had wasted my time, if's my "job" to help people out! I didn't want to, I simply wouldnt do it. :)

My point was just that it seemed to be time for you to get some "hands-on-help" instead of asking everything in the forums! By all means ask away, but for your own sake i thought getting someone helping you on site would be a better option! Donating is certainly an excellent way of getting the job done! :)

Do you want to come here to give me some "hands on help"?

Well, I found which URL needed to change and I can now login to the gallery -- but the "[add photos]" "[add photo]" "[rename album]" don't work. No errors, no other apage --just nothing. When I click on the button(s) nothing happens.

Ok -- I retried. It can start the upload process then I get this error message

- Adding one_1.JPG
Warning: copy(/home/agsayer2/public_html/albums/album01/one_1.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/agsayer2/public_html/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 26

Warning: getimagesize(/home/agsayer2/public_html/albums/album01/one_1.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/agsayer2/public_html/gallery/util.php on line 592

Error: Invalid image: one_1.jpg!
Need help? Look in the Gallery FAQ
Warning: unlink(/home/agsayer2/public_html/albums/album01/serial.3.dat): Permission denied in /home/agsayer2/public_html/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 79

Warning: fopen(/home/agsayer2/public_html/albums/album01/photos.dat.0): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/agsayer2/public_html/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 55

Any help as to what I should do?

Thank you.
