I woke up the morning after Thanksgiving with a full plate of other plans, and my web host had emailed me saying that tonight, they're migrating the physical name server on which my site resides.
So in 24 hours, my site will still be on ns123a.myhost.com and ns123b.myhost.com. But the ip address for that server will have changed to 123.456.789.012 or whatever, from what it is now.
Will this affect my gallery functionality? And if so, what do I do to make the transition as easy and painless as possible for myself, so the gallery is up and running fast?

so long as the domain or subdomain address of your Gallery 2 site points to that new IP address, it's all good. they may or may not have to to update their Apache (or whatever http server they're using) config to reflect that change also.
