cannot log in as admin

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): http://webdocs.cs.ualberta.ca/~dana/gallery
Gallery version: gallery-1.5.6
Apache version: Apache 2.0 Handler
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): 5.1.6
Graphics Toolkit:
Operating system: Fedora 7
Web browser/version (if applicable): Firefox 2.0.0.13

I was using gallery-1.5.6 for few years with no problems. I tried to log in today and the log in window pops up but doesn't do anything. Only the cancel button works. When I click login nothing happens. Same for the setup/index.php page.

I reset the password by creating a resetadmin file and running the configuration setup. This seams to be successful but after I delete the resetadmin file I get the same problem.

Have you tried from a different computer and browser?

Yes. I tried my husband's linux laptop and a windows laptop and it's the same.

I just solved the problem by reinstalling the gallery scripts.
