I read this:
" How do I prevent users from accessing my site during maintenance or upgrades?

Site administrators may still use the application while the site is in maintenance mode.

Typical upgrade process:

1. Turn on maintenance mode;
2. Put new code in place;
3. Browse site as admin and make sure everything looks OK;
4. Activate or configure any new modules/themes/etc you wish to use;
5. Turn off maintenance mode. "

Well, I cannot administrate anymore my gallery 2.3 since if I browse
:

http://lnx.sinapsi.org/wordpress/gallery/

it tells: "Il sito è temporaneamente chiuso per manutenzione."
That's site closed under maintenance.
How could I enter as admin in my gallery?
I was trying to upgrade from 2.3 to 2.3.1 but the upgrade stuck in step 2, forever (I left it all night long).

I read the faq:
" My upgrade failed, and now when I try to get into my site, all I get is "Site is temporarily down for maintenance"

If a upgrade did not complete successfully, there might be a line in your "versions.dat" file located in the base folder of your albums directory that says "maintenance-mode". If this is the case, remove the line, and connect to your site's main page where the upgrade will start from the beginning. "

I found the versions.dat, I removed the line, but when I try to enter then again starts the upgrade process and it stuck in step 2!

SOLVED! THE PROBLEM WAS IN PHP.INI CONFIGURATION, MY PROVIDER GAVE THE CHANCE TO CHOOSE A PHP.INI SUITABLE TO GALLERY
AND THE UPGRADE WENT THROUGH STEP 2.

Thanks

- You can copy and paste a lot of the required information from "Site Admin" -> "Maintenance" -> "System Information" if your G2 is up and running.

No, I cannot copy anything since I cannot admin gallery
