First of i want to thank you guys/gals for the great work, and the steady stream of updates. I just updated to 1.4 and i really love the translation feature. The only problem is that the Turkish translation is not working for me. Every language works, except the one i need( isn't it always the way)

when i choose the Turkish translation, all i get is a white, blank page. I can't do anything until i put in a url which changes the language to something other than turkish

I'm sure it is a small fix, whatever it is.

Thanks in advance for you help
Draco

I can't reproduce your error. Would it be possible for you to give the URL of your site, so I can see the problem?

Hi Draco,

very strange.
Does your php have gettext ?
If you dont know, can you give as a URL to a phpinfo page ?

Jens

Hi draco,

your php has gettext support.
So i assume that something with the turkish translation file is wrong.
Please download this tr_TR.mo.tar.gz
Unpack and upload this IN BINARY MODE into the locale folder of your gallery. Just overwrite your existing one.

Regards,

Jens

Hey Jens,

I downloaded the file you asked me to(in binary mode) and it didn't change the situation, but then i said, what happens if i rename the turkish folder to say the italian folder, so i renamed the "tr_TR" folder in "locale" to "it_IT", and the entry in the drop down box still said italian, but the translation was in turkish.

Thanks for the continuing help

Draco

Hi Draco,

this is strange.
I dont know how to reproduce this behaviour.

If you want, you can give me access to your server and i will do some tests.

Regards,

Jens
