I am trying to change the main user name on a gallery. When I go to Edit User the name is there but no option to edit. Thanks in advance for your help.

Users can't change their username. But the site admin can under Site Admin > Users

Thanks for responding but the user I am talking about is the "main" user or the one created as Gallery is set up. I guess another way to say it is I want to switch the main user to another user name. I want to delete the user mlplm11 in the attachment and make mabarnes the main user or admin.

Yeah, so am I. Click edit and change the user name.
If you want to delete mlplm11, first make add mabarnes to the admin group under Site Admin > Groups, then log in as that user.
The guest account can never be deleted and you can delete the account you are currently logged in as.
