Everyone must be watching the Olympics! I called my provider and checked all the parameters in the setup and they are all fine. What is wrong with this install?

FAQ: How to upgrade Gallery2?
I see a blank album that was created today. I don't know if you've started a new install. Double check and triple check the paths in config.php (or configure.php, I can't remember what that file is called in G1)

I did a little more research today. I think I have to give some history to the problem first. That should give you a better idea of what the problem is. This gallery was working fine until I moved my web site to another provider. Gallery is running within a web site using Postnuke 7.62. Since I didn't know what the problem was I removed gallery as a module from postnuke and reinstalled it by running through galleries install procedures, reinitializing gallery and activating it within postnuke. I still had the same problem. Logged into my postnuke web site my userid is not able to do anything to an album. Every box that comes up is blank.
What I just found out is that with the admin screen gallery is working fine. The problem is logged in the my postnuke site I can't do anything to the albums except look at them. It seems to be something to do with postnuke and gallery. Somehow the module when initialized within postnuke does not recognize the user id. I did not remove any security within postnuke. I don't see any significant tabs within gallery to allow users to upload pictures.
I don't know if the gallery folks have any experience with this sort of problem. It seems more of a postnuke/gallery problem. I can't get any support from postnuke because it is old technology.
Is there anyone out there that knows anything about gallery and how it works with postnuke?
Please. I am desperate.

First off, does it work without going through PostNuke?
