As the size of gallery grows it becomes difficult to find the albums which are hidden under other albums.

Is there a easy way to generate an herarchial index page with just album names and descriptions and links
to the correct albums? I guess a top level page with without thumbnails will be a good start. Any easy ways to do this?

Yeah, this would be a very nice feature to have guys - I was preparing my own top-level index page manually and then thought this should be generated from a mySQL table and then thought it would be nice to have Gallery fully in mySQL (I guess one day?). If you could let me know of any simple scripts there are to interrogate the album dats I would appreciate it. James.

The installation wizard has a preference, 3rd page I believe, to "Show the Album Tree." This will create a third column on your main album.php page, hierarchically showing the albums nested. This is created automatically as you nest albums within one another.
