Suggestion for add photos/add photo

I've been hearing talk about how these two files will be merged into one. When this is done, please (pretty please! :) ) consider giving the ability to input the "Extra Fields" information at time of upload not only for single "hard drive" photo uploads but also for photos uploaded using the URL option.

If it is too difficult to do this for more than one photo at a time then please give the option to upload just ONE photo at a time with the "Extra Fields" info. I know this can currently be done for photos loaded off the hard drive but it can't be done for photos with the URL option.

Just a suggestion but I think many users would benefit from this. Thanks!!!

I almost have it working in that thread but it would be very cool to have this as a regular feature when the add photo/add photos is modified on an upcoming release!

zman, why not file an RFE at http://sf.net/projects/gallery ? That should bring it to the developers attention. :)

I'll look into that h0bbel. Thanks! While I've visted that area before for Gallery related stuff, I'm not all that familiar with the Source Forge layout/posting/use but will take a look!

About 6 months later so just wanted to keep this fresh in the minds of the developers ;)

h0bbel, I don't really get the structure of the whole sourceforge thing... any chance you could make the request for me?

Yep... just looked at it and it is WORSE. DOH!!! :)

It used to be that with the uploads off your hard drive it would automatically look at the Extra Fields and allow you to fill those out at the same time. I was asking for this to be added to the URL upload option as well. However, I now see they've removed this from BOTH. :( :(

I just added some Custom Fields and tried to do an upload and it still gave me the option of just inputting the Descrption. Bummer!!! LOL! :)

That was a while ago and I do believe I have it working now without it putting up that extra "stuff" after the "Dismiss" button. But, I still think this is a GREAT option to have in Gallery and would love to see it added!
