How do I use Gallery API in standalone PHP script?

	I apologize in advance if this is the wrong location on the forums to ask this question. Is there any way to write a standalone PHP script that utilizes the Gallery API? By "standalone" I mean a script on the same server as my gallery installation that is not a module. Thanks in advance!
