I am pre-setting up 900,000 Gallery and sub Gallerys, How to do in a list or csv?

I have a directory with all subdirectory entries that goes about 9 deep in some places. I have the directory names in a file and can reformat them as needed, anyone know how to automate the loading into Gallery1 running on a linex server Thanks for any suggestions |

Gallery 1? First, G1 is no longer developed or maintained. Second, without some major tuning (and even then it might not work well) G1 can't handle a gallery that large, everything will just be very, very slow.
Take a look at G2 (also no longer developed, but still supported) or G3 (actively being developed, but still in beta). Both of which use a database for the backend and we know either of those can handle that size.

Thanks for your words. Gallery does about half of what I need done, and I was wondering if there are some contract programmers available that could help me as I'm not done programming in a while, I have a friend Ivan who helped get Gallery1 up and running, which for me showed the usefulness of using Garrery. I'm not sure as to how much time he has and would like to get him some support if he feels it is needed. Once again thanks for you guiding words. hr
