wpg2/wpg2functions.inc generates deprecated <script language="javascript"> tags

Hi, While validating the HTML one of my sites, I found out that 3.0.7 is emitting the deprecated <script language="javascript"> tags; only <script type="text/javascript"> should be allowed. Fixing it is easy, just go to wpg2/wpg2functions.inc and search for the two instances and correct them. It would be nice if an upcoming version would emit only valid HTML Thanks in advance, - Gwyn |

Thank you for bringing this up and posting. If someone is looking, they'll find it. FYI, there's no planned upcoming version. G2 is no longer in development and all development efforts are being focused on G3.

Thanks for replying, nivekiam! Ok, in that case, I'll wait until G3 comes out and upgrade both our Gallery as well as the WP plugin.
Some good news: the WP plugin works flawlessly with WP 3.0 Beta 2, which is great!

You'll be waiting a little while. While G3 is currently being worked on. A plugin for WP integration is not. At least not by the core team. Some community members have expressed interest, but I don't know how far along, if at all, anyone has gotten so far.
But I expect you'd see more development on that sort of integration with WP (as well as Drupal and others) once G3 has it's first official release.
