Mailing list for new albums/pictures?

Hello.

I'd like to know if there is a notification module by e-mail: typically people would sign with an e-mail adress to be notified when a new album/picture is posted on the site.

I know there is RSS support, but many people don't know what it is or how to use it.

There is a notification module and if they have an account with a valid, working email address and are logged in, then all they have to do is click the "Watch" link.

Sorry but I couldn't find this module; I'm using Gallery 2.2 by the way.

Is the module a standard one or a 3rd-party one? Can I find it in the administration pages of the site?

I don't know what's available for 2.2 anymore and there are security fixes that have been released since 2.2 was last released a few years ago.
