Am I aiming for something too simple?

Hi there, I'm quite news to gallery2, but I've given the forums a good search to find an answer and have failed. So here I am to hopefully not waste too much of my time if gallery2 is wrong for me. I'm building a portfolio website for a friend, the end result will be something similar to this: http://www.jennydmakeup.co.uk/, but with the ability to update it herself. My thinking..... I can use a custom header/footer to style it up, and learn how to modify the thumbnail template page for each gallery to be a single row of 15 images, all 500px tall (potentially with lightbox click through). Sounds fairly simple in my head, but I'm not sure how to achieve it in gallery2, the system is brilliant and I'd love to use it properly. Any help appreciated, thanks all |

Oh and of course, use ISAPI rewrite for friendly urls.

ISAPI? Windows? ick I won't touch that. But as for making G2 look like your site.

Hi Nivekiam, sorry to be so slow thanking you, that link could be exactly what I need.
Thanks

That's exactly what I needed nivekiam, wonderful, but it does lead to a new problem lol.
Using that script lots of extra info is included in the page (image title, gallery title etc). I'm working my way through the template code but was wondering if you knew a simple way to display just the pictures in album view? This would be perfect for me then

I'd probably do something like http://tympanus.net/Tutorials/PhotoStack/ instead of http://www.jennydmakeup.co.uk/
I'm sure we could use gallery as a backend.

That does look great suprsidr, but it wouldn't work as well for jennyd's needs. She needed something simple and impressively styled, though that does look pretty awesome.
I don't suppose gallery2 has a commercial section of the forum? I'm trying to build a couple templates myself, but think paying for them might be a much better solution in the short term.

Ha, ah yes. Right where I'd expect it to be too.
