So.. this is probably a basic website functionality question, but, I'm having a hard time with it.

Here's my short story - I have been having serious issues with FlowPlayer and .mp4's. I don' t think my server knew what to do with mp4's.

So, I added to my .htaccess file:

RewriteRule . - [E=no-gzip:1]
AddType audio/x-m4a .m4a
AddType audio/mp4a-latm .m4b
AddType audio/mp4a-latm .m4p
AddType video/mp4 .mp4
AddType video/x-m4v .m4v

Now, my IE is fixed! *SWEET*

I don't use IE :(

Firefox and Chrome still don't work.

Anyone know why?

Here is a link:

Thanks for any input.

The file doesn't seem to exist, that is the problem.

The file does exist..

Did you try the link in both IE and FF?

On my PC, it works fine in IE, but does not play in FF or Chrome - I get the same 200 error you probably got.

If you type in the full URL, http://www.2000transam.com/gallery3/var/albums/Isabelle/Bike/mvi_1675.mp4?m=1277123039 - I get a popup in FF to download the file. (obviously logged in as admin - don't think you can do it as guest)

Edit - Hrm. When I logout, I can't play the video in IE.

Folder permissions?

Edit 2 - If I change the permissions on the whole album for users to see the full resolution images - the video now plays again as a guest in IE.

Edit 3 - You can click on the full G3 URL above and get a direct download in FF.

Am I still looking at a MIME type setup error?
