I want to know how to change the dark grey box to light grey like the rest of the background, (see attach file)
Please help

Sorry, but I'm not going to create an account just to add stuff to a cart to see that page. Any chance you can make it so guests can add to cart and checkout or PM me login details.
The other option, crack the page open in Firefox with the Firebug extension installed and inspect those parts of the page to see what CSS class defines those. That's all I'm going to do anyway

I'm seeing something that's mostly white with grey stripes. Nothing like your screenshot.
However, I believe the class names you're looking for are gbEven and gbOdd
Edit your theme.css and search for those.
