3RC2 Animated GIF upload fails - no animation

Any ideas how to successfully upload an animated image?
I've uploaded an animated GIF and it only displays the first of eight frames. I've tried ImageMagick and GD image as the default image toolkits when uploading. I've never tried an animated GIF in G2.x so not sure if this ever worked, forums seem to indicate it has.

No ETA on the fix.

Thanks bharat, as a workaround I used FTP to overwrite the processed image with a working copy.
