Installed gallery on several domains without any issues whatsover (having migrated from gallery2 on each) EXCEPT...
I always receive a 404 error when logging out. It appears that there's a bug in the querystring when logging out. It's looking for "/gallery3/index.php/logout".
Note also, that I am invoking the galleries from a subdomain (i.e. gallery.domain.com) where the gallery3 folder is linked symbolically to "gallery". And cpanel is doing a redirect from gallery.domain.com to the gallery folder.

You don't have permission to access /gallery3/index.php/logout on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Please make sure you're running the latest version of Gallery. The problem you describe, sounds like something that was fixed a long time ago.

This is using Gallery 3.0 "Santa Fe"... Clean install to new directory and new mySQL database. Then migration of previous Gallery2 site using importer. Then deletion of all Gallery2 files/DBs.
I am betting the issue is related to using gallery in a subdomain, perhaps complicated by cpanel and symbolic links.
Again, the problem is solely limited to the URI for the logout function.

I thought that issue was fixed. I'll have to get G3 running on a subdomain here. That's actually the G2 install I plan on replacing this weekend.

I'm guessing the /logout request was missing the csrf token. Right click on the logout link and paste it here (sanitize the actual csrf value, and your domain if you want)

I can no longer logout. I get the 404 error mentioned by Montreal in his first post above.
Here are the events leading up to the problem. I wanted to modify the Wind theme. I followed the recommendation of MarkRH in this thread http://gallery.menalto.com/node/100638 to maintain my modified theme separate from the Wind theme. I then activated my modified theme. When I tried to logout, I got the 404 error page.
I switched back to the original Wind theme. The logout problem did not go away.
Since I intended to upgrade to 3.0.1 anyway, I followed the instructions at this link http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:User_guide:Gallery3:Installing_and_upgrading#Upgrading. The upgrade appeared to be successful, but I still get the 404 error when I try to logout.
Per bharat's suggestion above, here's the sanitized right-click capture on the logout link:
http://[domain].com/albums/index.php/logout?csrf=[32charactersdeleted]&continue_url=http%3A%2F%2F[domain].com%2Falbums%2Findex.php%2F
Is there a fix short of uninstalling/reinstalling?

Logout problem still exists after uninstall and reinstall.
Since my gallery installation is relatively new, with few pictures, I decided to just start all over. I used Fantastico to uninstall gallery and to remove the mysql database for it. Then I used Fantastico to reinstall gallery. The logout problem still exists.

Don't!
Start over again using files from this site following the directions we have set up.
