| My G2 installation on a Linux GoDaddy plan is having issues lately. Not only am I getting server 500 errors, the hide / unhidde gallery is not functioning. I had several galleries hidden, now when I untick the box, the "unhide" starts but times out. When I try to hide and unhide again, the same thing occurs. Is there a command line or data base command I can issue to unhide all galleries without using the admin panel? It is almost like the permissions are stuck somewhere. ------------------ | |

That can be a really resource intensive operation if being performed on an album with lots of sub-items.
Try changing from file locking to database locking. You'll probably want to change back as file locking on Linux is typically faster and more reliable than database locking. Go to Site Admin > General (first page you land on) to change that setting.
I'd also clear G2's cache:

With lots of items in a G2 install it's probably best to utilize users and groups instead of hiding or password protecting albums. Create users, create groups, add users to groups. Assign permissions to groups and require people to login. I know it's probably not what you're looking for, but on a low-end shared host who over sells their services it's probably the best answer if you continue to have issues.

nivekiam - I will give that a shot. The main album has about 10 sub-albums, and each of those sub-albums have several sub-albums as well.
For example: UFC > UFC 100 > Fight 01 through Fight 06
