Hi, Most of my photos are posted under the user admin. When I am logged in as admin, I am able to see photos in albums of other users, but any photo in my album creates the "Dang!" error page (attached, stripped the Environment part). I saw that the argument for theme was NULL and thought that it could be the problem. I installed another theme (Grey Dragon) and switched to it. But I am getting the same error. Any thoughts? Thanks,

What operating system is your server running?

Windows is not a supported OS. All I can offer is:

Hi Dave,
Can we at least come to the conclusion that this is a Windows problem before dismissing the issue with this comment?
Are there any other Windows users successfully running G3?
I just went through a migration of a large G2 gallery to G3 and everything seems to be fine so far except for this (admittedly big) problem. I don't know why it should not work.
Thanks,
Sridhar

If you can reproduce this on a supported platform I am willing to help out. We simply don't have the time to diagnose issues like this. There is a few users running windows and they have successfully followed the user contributed directions above.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your response.
I am not able to reproduce this on a supported platform as that calls for too much of a change.
I am not willing to use IIS on my server. I would rather have the setup that I have currently (Apache/PHP/MySQL).
Now, the question is whether this is something that reaches the OS layer or is it something that fails beforehand.
I am willing to investigate if I am given pointers as to how to isolate this.
Regards,
Sridhar

I re-read your post a couple of times. I'm guessing your have the user_homes module or something similar installed. Rename your album from "admin" to something else.

Thank you for your response.
Indeed, this was the problem.
I edited the "admin" user's album and changed the internet address to something other than admin.
That fixed it.
Given that my old setup worked in G2, should we not catch/warn while migrating?

Sridhar

Yeah, probably. It's an open bug that Dave linked to above that's slated to be fixed for 3.1
