How to combine permissions ?

Is there a way of combining permissions or creating permission-presets ?
Fx: permission1+ permission3 + permission5 => save as permission-setX

Many times when creating new albums, I'd like to add certain permissions to some albums and some other permissions to other albums, and a the same time keep the general permissions for the root album.

Without making modifications to the code or UI, no. If you can code, then I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. But when you're creating an album you're not prompted to change/set permissions anyway. It just inherits the parent album's permissions.
