i'm not an expert on the topic :grin:, but basically, the difference at that point is so inscrutable that there is no point of having 100. (if indeed 95 is not 100% quality...)

All JPEG transformations with the NetPBM libraries are lossful. 95% is the highest quality rating that will not make the JPEG file incredibly large. You should probably go read up on JPEG standards to understand this better.

is there a script to where it re-sizes the image on-the-fly to where it's @ a certain resolution?
when i upload a big resolution file, it keeps the original file, the modified file, and the thumbnail [even though i set it to not have an intermediary file] ????

Gallery 1.x does not resize on the fly. G2 will provide more support for that capability.
If you turn off auto-resizing in your album properties, it won't generate the intermediate
resized version when you upload new images.
