Hiyas!
Got the latest G2 running and installed the "Tags" module because I wanted smth that way. Problem is now that I've got the internal keywords (next to title, summary & description) *AND* the tags which is just a bit too much since they're the same. I'd love to either use the keyword field for the tag show within the sidebar or replace the keyword field with the tags field from the plugin. Or can I just completely turn off the internal keywords??

Without a link to your site to be sure, I believe you also have the Keyword Albums plugin installed, that adds keyword links below albums and photos. Uninstall it if you don't want that behavior under Site Admin > Plugins

Unfortunately I can't provide a link to the gallery because it's intranet only - But I guess there's keyword albums installed. OK, so I can turn that off. Any chance to add the tags to a bunch of pictures?

The Keyword Album plugin is separate from keywords and also separate from the tagging plugin. Just go to Site Admin > Plugins and you can safely uninstall the Keyword Albums plugin. If that doesn't get what you want or removes something you want just reinstall it. It doesn't have any saved data you need to worry about.

Keyword albums are deactivated but I can still enter keywords when I edit a photo.
Again what I want:
Only one keyword/tag(ging) system/feature! And I'd like to select for example 40 pictures and give them the same tags / keywords at once....
Guess that's not possible, eh?

Yes that's a core feature. Those keywords are not displayed any place, but are searchable.

G3 Problem is that actually there's no bridge to Joomla...
