The search parameters are limited to words of four letters or more. This precludes searching the forums for critical terms such as "tag" or "css" or "php" and so on. In the interest of avoiding question duplication search needs to be more functional.

And the google search option does not work for you?
trip searches are very expensive, and searching for small words can result in huge returns, hence the other search options.

Well unfortunately Google just scoops up everything from Gallery 1 and 2 along with the target of 3. A search with "huge returns" is certainly better than one with none at all. Those "huge returns" can be limited significantly with the proper application of search terms.

I agree with you there nekochan. More Advanced search strings would be helpful, especially with so many relevant 3 letter strings on the site. The ability to limit to 1 forum or sub forum at a time is helpful, but doesn't quite get us all the way there.
