Export Photos to your Gallery

Did you know that many photo management programs can export to Gallery or have plugins that can export to Gallery? We provide an upload applet for easy drag and drop uploading, as well as a plugin for Windows XP to publish photos and the Gallery Remote program, but there are many other options:
- The brand new Aperture plugin allows Apple's Aperture to export directly to Gallery.
- F-Spot, a full-featured personal photo management application for Linux, can export directly to Gallery.
- iPhotoToGallery is a plugin for Apple's iPhoto that exports directly to Gallery.
- A module for Gallery 2 imports pictures from Picasa.
- User contributed modules that import from Coppermine and Flickr into Gallery2 available from our User Contributions page.
Information about lots of additional tools are available on the Other Clients page on our documentation site.
Here's the forum thread about the Aperture plugin (where the developer of the plugin is active).
Really?? Any plans for adding this functionality ot Photo Mechanic or Capture One? Those are really popular image management programs also. It is a pain for me currently to try and add images to my site because I use Virtuemart for it's flexibility.

Do you have a module to transfert picture (+metadata Title, Comment...) from Gallery2 to... gallery2 ?
Not an official one, but there is an import/export tool.

A plug in for Photo Mechanic would greatly increase Galleries usefulness to professionals. As a slightly geeky professional photojournalist I have incorporated it into my own website as an archive and a Photo Mechanic plug in would make gallery fit seamlessly into my work flow. Unfortunately I don't know the first step in making a plugin.
i have problem with 404 in the user-contributions
and I don't know the first step in making a plugin.

This feature is quite user-friendly!
"A plug in for Photo Mechanic would greatly increase Galleries usefulness to professionals." This would be extremely handy I second that idea.

I could really use a plugin like that for http://www.johninjapan.com where I am trying to get images online quickly. I only have 80 images and it took me weeks to do that.
